ABOUT AL ORNDORFF
Dr. Orndorff currently serves as the Back Creek District supervisor. The Board of Supervisors appointed him in November 2025 to fill an unexpired term that will be decided in the November 2026 special election.
Orndorff spent much of his career in public education. Frederick County’s official biography lists service as Assistant Superintendent for Administration, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, and Coordinator of Vocational Education for Frederick County Public Schools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Orndorff holds a Doctor of Education in Administrative Leadership from Shenandoah University, a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor of Science in Education, Technology Education and Mechanical Drafting, from Virginia Tech.
CURRENT PUBLIC SERVICE
Frederick County lists Orndorff’s assignments as including the Finance Committee, Public Works Committee, Conservation Easement Authority, Planning Commission liaison, Agricultural District Advisory Committee, Extension Leadership Council, and Shawneeland Sanitary District Advisory Committee.
